GOLD COAST (QLD)

DAVID PENNIMPEDE (ACT) WOW! What an absolute performance!  Dave had a solid fight against a very experienced world champion with over 280 fights under his belt. Not only did Dave manage to cut his opponent, he also put up one entertaining and skillful fight! We at NRF are extremely proud to have been able to help match this fight for Dave and to be able to witness this live, was an absolute treat!

Dave came away with a split decision loss, but he stepped up and competed in a toe to toe battle against an International Champ and leaves with his head held high –  not to mention the fight was the most talked about fight of the night! Well done Dave we are so proud and happy for you!  You have the world at your feet!

“Man, I don’t know where to start. A Split Decision Loss last night to Youssef Boughenam.
Going into this fight I was under no illusions how much of an underdog I was. The build up was amazing, I was in the best shape of my career, my body was fresh and my energy had never been higher. Confidence in myself never wavered & I knew what I could do. But to go in there and compete with arguably the best foreigner of our generation, to push him & hurt him like that & to take the fight to him all 5. It’ll be a moment & memory that I’ll carry for a long time.” ~ David Pennimpede

BROOKE “PSYCHO” COOPER (QLD) for the win! She aggressively dominated her opponent with a barrage of shots, crowning her the WBC Australasian Super Lightweight Champion by TKO and all in 38 seconds into Round 3. What a weapon! Congratulations Brooke!

“We did it!!! WBC AUSTRALASIAN SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMP!!! Ref stoppage 35 seconds into the 3rd. Officially a title holder across 3 disciplines! Muay Thai, Kickboxing and now Boxing ! We are Martial Artists after all @kaosmartialarts” ~ Brooke “Psycho” Cooper

A great boxing exhibition by BLAIR “THE BOMBER” GERAGHTY (NSW). We are so proud of the determination of this young athlete. There was no winner declared since it was an exhibition, but it’s great for Blair to get in there and get a chance to get some more ring experience.

TYLER GORDON-DAVESON (QLD) got out of his comfort zone and had his first boxing fight against a more experienced opponent. No win for this young warrior, but he definitely had a great time and good experience. On to the next one Tyler!

LEONIE MACKS (QLD)  Rematched her opponent for the fourth time, and now the score stands at an even two wins each with this one being taken by her opponent.  Leonie will be up again soon stay tuned for a huge announcement for her next fight!

SHANNON “THE CANNON” TILBROOK (SA) fought another non-stop battle, and after 5 tough rounds and an elbow war resulting in a cut to her opponents forehead.  No win this time around and she’s up again in 2 weeks to fight in QLD yet again!  The Cannon has become a regular feature in QLD she’ll be back again in July also.

HANNAH “THE PLEB” MORGAN (NSW) had a professional Muay Thai fight against fellow NRF member and NSW Champion DALA “BILLS” THONGSAMOUTH (NSW). Both girls putting it to each other, going head to head and landing solid shots on each other the whole fight. It was a great fight and performance with Hannah coming away with a unanimous points win!

What a solid victory for BRONTE “RAMBO” SIMPSON-HAY (NSW)! This was an awesome performance with Bronte showing her growth and experience racked up over her career so far.  She cut her opponent and continued to apply pressure throughout the 3x3min rounds.  She always has a smile on her face, however I think on the weekend we saw her biggest smile ever during and after the fight! A well deserved win for Bronte!  We’ll see Bronte back up again soon!
