The following fighters featured on Queensland’s Rumble at the Ridge 23 show on the weekend. Here’s how they went.
NSW’s Bryce Gibbs unfortunately didn’t get the decision in his favour for his 63.5kg fight.
Matthew “The Lion King” Lyons had a great time in his bout but unfortunately didn’t get the win for the WKBF QLD Under 13’s Light Straw Weight title.
Had a good fight at rumble at the ridge didn’t win but it was a grate fight ” -Matthew “The Lion King” Lyons
Lauchy “Rolex” Murray unfortunately didn’t get the WKBF Queensland Under 14’s Light Paperweight Title win but was super impressed with his runner up trophy.
Thank you to everyone who supported me and came to the show to watch me and helped me to get ready for this fight … I came short and didn’t get the win but I’m happy I had the chance to fight for a QLD title and I still got a massive Trophy” – Lauchy “Rolex” Murray
Ross “The Soldier” Mills was super keen and ready for his 68kg fight, however unfortunately he didn’t come away with the result he expected. He reported he was happy with his first 2min round but couldn’t deliver in the final two rounds. Great efforts to “The Soldier”.
We have a winner! Kane Baigent is your new WKBF QLD K1 Welterweight champion! He now adds this belt to his win earlier this year as the WKBF QLD Light Middleweight champ. His record now stands at 7 wins from 7 fights. A force to be reckoned with indeed. Well done Kane!
