Tenacious Tamkia – Fierce Title Fight Battle

nrf-profighter-tamikadicesareTamika pictured right at weigh inOn the weekend NRF Victorian Fighter Tamika Di Cesare flew to Canberra for a WKA Australian Title Fight.

Although not coming away with the belt, Tamika certainly showed she was there for a war!   From the outset she kept calm and composed,  showing skill and strength throughout the entire fight, making for one exciting bout.

Nationally Registered Fighters (Australia) are proud to have matched Tamika for this fight.  She had a run of bad luck with fights that she had been scheduled for over the past couple of months being cancelled due to her opponents withdrawing at the last minute out of to sickness or injury, leaving Tamika disappointed after putting in so much hard work at training and getting let down in the final moments.   Needless to say as soon as we put this title fight opportunity to her team they snapped it up in a heartbeat….and Tamika did NOT disappoint!

“Last night I experienced my first loss, but in heart it wasn’t a loss, it was a learning experience that I’ll forever hold on too! Flying up here, doing a weight cut and stepping into the ring for 5x2minute fight. I loved every minute of it.
From being who I was to the person I am now, from first stepping into the everlasting gym, to now stepping out there in front of a crowd to fight. I’ve come a long way but I have so much more to go, and I’m forever grateful to my coach Andrew Everlasting Umt Steen for putting in the hard yards with me, sticking around, pushing me harder and harder.”

You will see much more of Tamika in the coming months with plenty of opportunities for this Tenacious fighter to show Australia what she’s made of!
