ITALY

BLAIR “THE BOMBER” GERAGHTY (NSW) won a silver medal at the 2022 WAKO World Championships in Italy. You have done Australia proud Blair!  Keep up the good work, Bomber!!

Proud to represent Australia at the world championships winning 2 fights, one against ukraine and one against the number 1 ranked kickboxer from moldova, i lost my last fight in the final for gold against Bulgaria, I dropped him 2 times and punched on till the very end. didn’t get the result i wanted it is what it is, proud of myself and proud of what i have achieved throughout the tournament and year as a whole so far without my parents this wouldn’t be possible, they go the extra mile to support me and for that i can’t thank them enough. ~ BLAIR GERAGHTY

GOLD COAST

COREY “THE NIGHTMARE” NICHOLSON (QLD) is the new WBC Muay Thai International Bantamweight Champion! He was declared the winner by a unanimous points decision, putting on an absolute clinic of a fight! You are truly The Nightmare for any opponent, Corey!

NAS “DESTRUCTION” MUKHTAR (QLD) put up on action packed performance on the weekend. A very close fight which resulted in a draw, Nas skills were put to the tested and she put everything into this fight. Well done Nas!

DEMI GIANNANGELO (QLD) won against fellow NRF Member BEC MACKENZIE (QLD) in a very intense fight on the weekend. These female fighters put on a great show. A very close fight with Demi securing the win by split decision. Well done girls!

NSW

ZOE “MY WAY” PUTORAK (ACT) travelled to NSW for her 2nd Pro boxing bout. Unfortunately she did not get the win this time around, but Zoe is improving every fight and was able to show her strength and power once again. Plenty more from Zoe to come, on to the next one!

JAKE DAVIS (NSW) put on an exciting Muay Thai bout over the weekend. He showed great talent and technique, but unfortunately he didn’t get the win this time around. We are looking forward to your next fight Jake!

KAITLIN HALCROW (NSW) won her professional debut against TANDIA SINGLETON (QLD) in an action-packed Muay Thai bout. These girls demonstrated great skills and gave their all. After an exciting fight, Kaitlin took home the victory! Great work girls!

Congratulations on the win also goes to to STEELE DAY (QLD) who we were able to get matched down in NSW for his first interstate fight. 

GOLD COAST

Well done to all our NRF Members who took part in the Muay Thai National Championships over the weekend.  Everyone put on a great show of sportsmanship and skill.  Great work! 

A special mention to Sophie Horner who also won performace of the event for stepping up in experience against multiple world gold meadlist Skylah Hamill.  Skylah wasn’t able to get match on the and Sophie, who had already fought, put her hand up to go again.  Well done girls this is what the sport is all about! Testing yourself and growing your experience!
