How Muay Thai helped Jaquie Lait escape violence

QLD NRF Fighter Jaquie “Lil Demon” Lait has spoken out in an article that was published in Lucky Break magazine in NZ.  In magazine (pictured below) the names of the people in the story were changed for safety reasons, however Jaquie has asked us to identify her as the person who this story is about, in the hope she can help other people.

A word from Jaquie:

“I received the NZ magazine covering my story of how I came to find Muay Thai. 1 or 2 things are slightly out of place in it but it still makes the point I was hoping it would make. Note – it’s written in a way to connect to the NZ women.

For those of you who cannot stand violence against women or children, I’d suggest not reading this story.
It took a lot of courage to share this story during a 4 hour interview with the editor, and some tears were shed, so I really hope that it has helped others take back the reigns to their life and find what makes them happy. We all have a choice, it just takes some time to see that the pain of leaving such a situation is not as bad as the pain of ‘sitting safe’ where we know the outcomes

Note: names were changed at the time of publication due to a court order going through at the time. But it has my fight name in it still”

Jaquie’s next fight is scheduled for May 30th 2015 in Brisbane.  The “Lil Demon” is also currently working on publishing her first book “Unleash the Superhuman Within”

“How to harness the super human mindset, and be killer confident and kickass in everything you do, even when faced with the ultimate enemy – Fear. Weather it be fear of failure, rejection, what ifs, and so on. Also includes a section on creating motivation and a small chapter for wolverine lovers on Psychoneuroimmunology – how the body heals itself”

Jaquie’s book will be launching in June/July and will be available directly from Jaquie or via the InHouse publishing online book store
