With the Muaythai National Championships and Battle by the Bay 14, both in Queensland, our NRF team was kept very busy with their fighters over the weekend.

Great effort by our fighters we are proud of you all!

Rafael “The Wolf” Vilches and Benji Wright went head to head on Saturday – These two guys went knock down for knock down, 8 count for 8 count for 3 rounds.  The win going to “The Wolf” and also both guys received “Fight of the Night” which scored them a brand new bike! Great entertainment boys!

David “Dek Dek” Pennimpede unfortunately got caught with an elbow in round two and the fight was stopped. He will be back again soon stronger and hungrier!  You are a beat of a fighter David and no matter what the result we know what you are capable of and can’t wait to see you back in there soon!

… my fight got stopped in the 2nd round last night after I got caught with a few big elbows that had me in a pretty bad way. Losing is not easy. I sacrifice so much and work so hard to be the best I can be and at this level I’m fighting at now all it takes is that one shot. The loss hurts but it just makes me that much more hungry and I will come back better. ” ~ David Pennimpede

Samuel Rocker didn’t get the win on the weekend.  This was his first fight and he’s was in good spirits afterwards, already looking to train for his next bout!  Good work Sam!
